Meeting of the European Public Law Organization Global Rule of Law Commission |
Mr. Vishnu Varunyou, Vice President of the Supreme Administrative Court, as one of the representatives from Asian region, attended the meeting of the EPLO Global Rule of Law Commission, during 9 - 13 January 2023, in Cascais, the Portuguese Republic.
The EPLO Global Rule of Law Commission was established in 2019 with the consent of the EPLO, the United Nations and other countries worldwide with support from various countries. Its main objective is to promote and improve understanding of the rule of law at both national and international levels for a better world in accordance with the Universal Values of the United Nations.
The EPLO Global Rule of Law Commission consists of 17 representatives from the countries all across the world which were appointed by the EPLO as follows:
- 6 members from Western European countries and others;
- 2 members from Eastern European countries;
- 3 members from Asian countries;
- 3 members from African countries; and
- 3 members from Latin American, Central American, and Pacific countries.
Therefore, being a commission member as 1 of 3 representatives from Asian region will allow the Thai Administrative Court to strengthen the rule of law at the international level.
