Court Fees

In cases involving wrongful acts of administrative agencies or state officials as well as disputes involving an administrative contract, the plaintiff shall pay Court fees at the rate specified in the annex to the Civil Procedure Code:
            - For cases involving assets with a value not exceeding 50 million baht, payment of the court fees shall stand at 2% but not exceeding 200,000 baht.
            - For cases involving assets valued in excess of 50 million baht, the payment of the court fees shall stand at 0.1%.
            - For cases involving assets with a value of 50-100 baht, the payment of court fees shall be 100 baht.
            If asset value in a case is less than 50 baht, court fees shall be exempted.
 
Payment of court fees shall be paid in cash, cashier's cheque or bank draft. Cheques and bank drafts shall be made out to “Fee and fine of the Office of the Administrative Courts (specify Office of the Administrative Courts where the plaint was filed e.g. Central Administrative Court or Chiang Mai).
 
If a plaintiff wins a case, the court shall order that the plaintiff be reimbursed for court fees, either wholly or in part.
If an appeal is filed with the Supreme Administrative Court, the plaintiff shall pay all court fees according to the rule for filing a case with the Administrative Court of First Instance.
If the plaintiff cannot afford to pay the court fees, the court may grant an exemption from court fees, either wholly or in part, and proceed with the case.
